TN Association of Museums Scholarships

The Tennessee Association of Museums is pleased to announce our scholarship program for the 2025 Annual TAM conference.  

The Tennessee Association of Museums is offering scholarships to attend the 2025 Annual TAM Meeting.  These scholarships include conference registration, hotel accommodations for (2) nights, a $50 travel stipend for those who qualify and admission to all off-site events included with conference registration (Pre or Post-Conference events may not be covered).  

We are inviting any student or emerging museum professional to apply. 

To apply, please send your resume and a cover letter, explaining why you want to attend the conference and what you hope to gain to Debbie Shaw, TAM State Coordinator, at tnmuseums@gmail.com.

Humanities Tennessee

Scholarships

Applications for Humanities Tennessee’s (HT) scholarships to attend the 2025 Tennessee Association of Museums (TAM) Conference are now available. TAM will host the conference in person March 11-14, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza in Knoxville, TN.

HT scholarships are open to volunteers without museum-related backgrounds who work for a nonprofit museum or organization that is starting a museum which has no paid professional staff. Each scholarship provides up to three nights lodging and conference registration fees for up to two people from each applicant organization.

Humanities Tennessee offers a scholarship program for the Tennessee Association of Museums’ (TAM) annual conference held every March. This initiative stems from our commitment to provide opportunities for professional and organizational development of Tennessee’s museums and their humanities programming.

Since 2003, 338 individuals from 123 organizations across the state have attended the TAM conference with this scholarship. Once introduced to the museum community by this program, many organizations remain TAM members and continue to attend each year without a scholarship.
