Belmont Mansion is looking to fill part-time historical interpreter positions.
Historical Interpreters serve as the public face of the museum by presenting our
history to guests, answering questions, and assisting guests as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
The duties of a Historical Interpreter include greeting guests and selling tickets;
providing historical interpretation through informal conversations, formal
introductions for the general admission tour and leading fully guided tours; and
helping customers in our museum shop. They also answer the phone, assist with
seasonal special events, and assist administrative staff with other duties as
needed.
Qualifications:
Ideal applicants should have strong public speaking and interpersonal skills;
experience in customer service; the ability to remain positive, respectful, and
flexible in a fast-paced environment; and the ability to climb stairs and stand for
long periods of time.
Salary:
Pay rate is $15 an hour
