The Journey Forward: Best Practices for Interpreting Black Tennessee History

Join us for this Free hour long session with Brigette Jones, Belle Meade’s Director of Equitable Partnerships as she provides insight into how to best interpret Tennessee’s varied Black stories with empathy and accuracy.  Through utilizing Belle Meade’s “Journey to Jubilee” tour and programming as framework, the program will communicate how to effectively use primary and secondary sources to build a strong, financially sound exhibit, with interactive components that can encourage descendant investment and build diverse community partnerships.
