Catie currently works as the Collections and
Operations Manager for Historic Castalian Springs–a newly merged nonprofit that
manages three rural Tennessee Historical Commission Sites located north of
Nashville–after finishing her Masters in Public History at Middle Tennessee
State University. She chose this topic as it represents a core element in how
Historic Castalian Springs is developing their interpretation post-merger and
an area that has seen increased engagement from site audiences.
East TN Winner: Samuel Bowen
My name is Samuel Bowen, and I am from Greeneville, Tennessee. Currently, I am in my senior year at Tusculum University majoring in Museum Studies. I have volunteered in the museum field since the age of 13. It was this time I found my love for history and museums. I am honored to be chosen as one of the 2022 TAM scholarship recipients and hope to make the most of this experience.
